CHURCH and CAMPUS

CHURCH and CAMPUS

CSF is a congregation-based college ministry offered through First Baptist Clemson. As such, there are various opportunities for students to be engaged in the life and ministry of First Baptist Clemson.

The College Lounge is open just for students. It is located on the 2nd floor of First Baptist Clemson and has all things needed for students to study or relax: wireless access, snacks, couches, tables, a printer, Direct TV, and both a Super NES and a Nintendo Wii.

Student Luncheons are free hot meals offered to all students and their families following specific Sunday worship services (10:30-11:30 am). The meal is provided by the church host, the College Committee, and various Sunday School classes. The luncheon dates for this fall are:

August 22, September 12, October 17, November 7, and December 5

College Chorale is an excellent opportunity for musically-gifted students to be a part of First Baptist Clemson’s music ministry, led by Rev. Robert Gammon (a university faculty lecturer). Rehearsal times are Sundays at 8 PM in the FBC Choir Room, and worship participation for this vocal ensemble is coordinated throughout the semester.

Bible Study & Breakfast (aka Sunday School) meets weekly from 9:30-10:15 am in the College Lounge. Breakfast is provided each week and the discussions are led by Casey Callahan.

Monday Night Open Basketball is a great time to play pickup basketball in the Family Life Center with other students and church youth & adults.  Games begin each Monday at 6:00 pm and last until 7:30 or 8:00 pm.

Student Adoption is a support system rooted in the wider family of faith. Interested students are paired with ‘adoptive families / individuals’ in First Baptist Clemson who commit to supporting the student through personal and faithful encouragement.

Student Membership is offered for all students who want an intentional affiliation with First Baptist Clemson without transferring membership from a home church. This is a great way for students to become more connected to the life and ministry of the wider church family.
